Broken TV Screens

Unfortunately, if your TV screen has been damaged in any way such as minor crack, not physically broken on the outside but has lines/spider web effect etc. then it is beyond economic repair.

A TV screen is like a sandwich. The ‘bread’ parts (front & rear) are clear plastic and the ‘filling’ is the brittle biscuit like LCD. This is all bonded together and is only a few millimetres thick. When impacted or bent excessively, then the plastic can survive but the LCD fractures – it cannot be repaired.

It would cost more to replace the screen than to purchase a brand new equivalent television set.
